William Barrett (1994) always heard music in and around home as a child. His mother sang and taught singing lessons at home and had a lasting influence on him. At the age of seven he started classical piano lessons and continued until he switched to jazz double bass at the age of fourteen. Within two years he was accepted at the young talent program of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, where he recently graduated with a masters degree in jazz double bass. Being an experienced teacher William can relate to a lot of different students and teaching methods, offering what is just needed to help the student easily understand and learn. In the lessons learning how to play the piano is just as important as the social aspect, being able to interact freely and communicate your thoughts are crucial in a healthy development.
